titleOfInvention Chipless Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) using photographic process fabrication
abstract A method for forming a structure for a radio frequency identification device is disclosed that includes dispensing a photoactive compound onto a substrate. Subsequently, a first portion of the photosensitive compound is exposed to a pattern of light from a light source while a second portion of the photosensitive compound remains unexposed to the light source. Exposing the photoactive compound to light reduces the photoactive compound to a metal layer. The unexposed second portion of the photoactive compound may be washed away to leave the metal layer. Processing may continue with the formation of an RFID circuit from the metal layer and a completed RFID transponder including the RFID circuit.
