The invention provides a large ceramic plate satisfying freeze-thaw resistance, strength and thermal shock resistance. The method is characterized in that: water absorption defined in JIS (japanese industrial standard) a1509-3(2014) is 1% or less, and the crystal phase contains mullite and further contains no quartz, or when contained, the concentration of quartz exceeds 0 mass% and 20 mass% or less, and preferably, the crystal phase further contains: with ZrO 2 Zr element in an amount of 3 to 15 mass%; more than 0 mass% and not more than 1 mass% of Ca element in terms of CaO; and more than 0 mass% and not more than 1 mass% of Mg element in terms of MgO, the large ceramic plate of the present invention can obtain excellent thermal shock resistance. |
