The SSR primer group obtained by the invention has the advantages of rich polymorphism, good repeatability, stable amplification, clear electrophoresis band and the like, and simultaneously, because the primers are all derived from the American pumpkin expression genes, the variation of functional sequences in the genome can be reflected, so that the diversity of the towel gourd genetic germplasm can be better distinguished. The primer group can be used in the fields of genetic diversity analysis of the American pumpkin character resource, genetic relationship identification, DNA fingerprint map construction and the like.
