titleOfInvention GhPRE1 gene and application thereof in improving quality of cotton fiber
abstract The invention provides a GhPRE1 gene for regulating and controlling cotton fiber development and application thereof in improving the quality of cotton fiber length, breaking ratio strength, micronaire value, spinning uniformity and the like. Specifically, the invention provides the function and the application of the GhPRE1 gene, namely, the expression of the GhPRE1 gene is enhanced by adopting a cotton fiber cell specific RDL1 promoter, so that the quality of the cotton fiber, such as the length property, the breaking ratio strength, the micronaire value, the spinning uniformity and the like, can be improved, and the transgenic cotton which is remarkably improved in fiber quality and better meets the production requirement of the textile industry is obtained. The GhPRE1 gene has wide application value, and provides a new way for improving the agronomic traits of cotton plants and other plants by transgenic technology.
