abstract The present invention relates to a liquid laundry detergent composition comprising a) one or more polyesters comprising two or more repeating structural units (a1), one or more repeating structural units (a2) and One or two terminal groups (a3); wherein G 1 is one or more (OC n H 2n ) and n is a number from 2 to 10, preferably 2 to 6 and more preferably (OC 2 H 4 ), ( OC 3 H 6 ), (OC 4H 8 ) or (OC 6 H 12 ); R 1 is a C 1-30 alkyl group; p is a number from 0 to 60 on a molar average basis, and q is a number from 0 to 50 on a molar average basis number, whereby the (OC 3 H 6 )- and (OC 2 H 4 )-groups of the terminal group (a3) can be arranged in a block, alternating, periodic and/or random manner, and wherein the groups ( OC 3 H 6 )‑ and (OC 2 H 4 )‑ to R 1 ‑ and ‑NH are freely variable, adjacent structural units (a1) are linked via said structural unit (a2), at only one terminal group (a3 ) is present in the polymer, the other end groups are selected from OH, OCH 3 , and G 1 OH, and both end groups can be attached only to structural unit (a1), and b) one or more surfaces active agent. The one or more polyesters of component a) have favorable stability in alkaline environments, have favorable solubility and are advantageously clear soluble in alkaline compositions such as liquid laundry detergent compositions, and also have Favorable soil release properties on fatty and oily stains.
