titleOfInvention Shaped polylactic acid articles and method for making same
abstract The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of shaped polylactic acid articles comprising stereocomplex polylactic acid and shaped articles obtainable by said process. In particular, the method comprises melt mixing and solidifying poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) and poly-D-lactic acid (PDLA) homopolymers in a homopolymer excess weight ratio, and subsequently mixing the blend thus obtained with additional homopolymer solids, and shaping the solid mixture obtained.
