Balloon Catheter System |
abstract |
A system (10) for dilating a stenosis is provided. The system includes a balloon (20) mounted on a catheter shaft (12), the balloon consisting of a first material, and fibers ( 34). The fibers are composed of a second material having a lower elasticity than the first material, such that when the bladder is inflated beyond a predetermined pressure, the bladder region protrudes (36) from the mesh formed by the fibers. |
