The present invention relates to MGMT-based methods for obtaining high-yield expression of recombinant proteins. The present invention discloses a novel enhancer of protein production in host cells. It discloses a vector for expressing recombinant proteins in these cells, including encoding a) secretory peptide signal, b) 6-methylguanine-DNA-methyltransferase (MGMT, EC 2.1.1.63) and its Mutant or catalytic domain, and c) nucleotide sequence of the recombinant protein. The MGMT enzymes are preferably so-called SNAP proteins. |
