abstract | The present invention describes a polymer composition having reduced torque during processing, the polymer composition comprising poly (ethylene terephthalate) (PET) and an internal additive, wherein the internal additive is a polyglyceryl fatty acid ester having a degree of esterification of at least 70%, and wherein the concentration of the internal additive is below 5 wt%. The invention also describes the use of the composition for packaging materials and the use of an internal additive in the processing of polymer compositions as a lubricant and/or antiblocking agent during polymer processing, wherein the internal additive is a polyglycerol fatty acid ester having a degree of esterification of at least 70% and 2-10 glycerol repeating units. |
