Complex multi-step nucleic acid amplification |
abstract |
The present invention provides an improved method for amplifying a target nucleic acid sequence comprising 1) first amplifying the copy number of the target nucleic acid sequence in a sample by a first nucleic acid amplification method, and then 2) amplifying the copy number of the target nucleic acid sequence in a sample by a second nucleic acid amplification method Application to the amplified sample or an aliquot thereof further amplifies the copy number of the target sequence. In an embodiment, the first nucleic acid amplification method is a thermal cycling method and the second nucleic acid amplification method is an isothermal method. |
