The activity of the Ppmar1 transposase D332S mutant in catalyzing transposon transposition is 2.56 times that of the wild-type transposase, laying the foundation for the development of gene tags using MLE transposons, and for large-scale isolation and labeling in the post-genome era Genes provide new tools for studying the function of genes.
