abstract |
The present invention provides methods of monitoring and detecting tumor-associated free PSA ("fPSA") using antibody polypeptides as indicators of androgen receptor signaling. In specific embodiments, the method can be used to assess the effectiveness of anti-androgens and/or anti-cancer treatments in general. The invention also provides various methods and compositions involving fPSA-specific antibodies that bind to tumors or that are intratumoral. For example, the invention provides compositions, including pharmaceutical compositions, comprising anti-fPSA antibodies or fragments or characteristic portions thereof. The invention further provides various therapeutic and/or diagnostic methods using anti-fPSA antibodies and/or compositions. |
