titleOfInvention | Application of soybean auxiliary molecular chaperone protein coding gene GmHSP40 in regulation and control of plant flowering |
abstract | The invention relates to application of an auxiliary molecular chaperone protein coding gene GmHSP40 derived from soybean in controlling flowering time of plants. The cDNA nucleotide sequence of GmHSP40 is shown in SEQ.1; a vector for over-expressing GmHSP40 is constructed by utilizing a recombinant DNA technology, and a transgenic arabidopsis plant with significantly delayed flowering phase under the conditions of long sunshine or short sunshine is obtained by a transgenic technology; the invention also proves that the over-expression GmHSP40 inhibits the expression of positive regulatory factor FT and SOC1 coding genes of flowering by inducing the expression of the negative regulatory factor FLC and FLM coding genes of flowering, thereby causing the significant delay of the flowering of Arabidopsis. GmHSP40 can be used for regulating the flowering time of plants and disclosing a molecular mechanism for regulating flowering of plants. |
