abstract The invention provides a method for preparing carboxylic acid compounds, comprising: reacting a lactone compound with hydrogen in the presence of a composite catalyst to obtain a carboxylic acid compound; the composite catalyst includes a hydrogenation catalyst and a Lewis acid. In the present invention, under the conditions of a hydrogenation catalyst and a Lewis acid composite catalyst, the lactone compound undergoes a hydrogenation ring-opening reaction to obtain a carboxylic acid compound. The invention provides mild reaction conditions, high yield, less by-products compared with traditional methods, meets the requirements of green chemistry, and has more industrial value.
