titleOfInvention Method for detecting miRNA source
abstract The invention provides a method for detecting miRNA sources, which comprises the following steps: 1) providing information of a miRNA precursor sequence to be detected of a species; 2) providing pseudogene information for said species in a pseudogene database; 3) comparing the physical positions of the miRNA precursor sequence to be detected and the nucleotide sequence of the species pseudogene to determine whether the miRNA precursor sequence to be detected coincides with the physical positions of the nucleotide sequence of the species pseudogene, and determining candidate pseudogenes from the pseudogenes with the coincidence degree with the miRNA precursor sequence to be detected; 4) calculating the contact ratio I of the two sequences according to the physical positions of the miRNA precursor sequence to be detected and the pseudogene sequence of the species genome at the chromosome; 5) and when the contact ratio I meets the condition of 1 ≧ I >0.3, determining that the miRNA to be detected is generated by the candidate pseudogene. The invention not only fills the research blank of the relation between miRNA and pseudogene, but also can discover pseudogene with potential biological function in the genome in batch, and provides candidate pseudogene for the construction of gene regulation network.
