abstract | Provided are fatty acid compositions useful in the preparation of fatty acid fortified nutritional products. In one embodiment, the fatty acid composition comprises fatty acid components, inorganic salts (which may include phosphates), vitamins, and optionally a protein source and an optional carbohydrate source. The composition may further include additional nutrients and combinations thereof. In another embodiment, the fatty acid composition is only spray dried fatty acids (ie, consists of sodium or potassium fatty acids).
