abstract | The present application discloses a silicone-based soil release coating comprising a polysiloxane-based binder matrix comprising at least 40% by dry weight of the coating, wherein greater than 65 wt% of the binder matrix is a polysiloxane-based binder matrix. The silicone moiety, and includes one or more poly(oxyalkylene) modified alcohols, such as poly(oxyalkylene) modified sterols, and one or more biocides. Further, the present application discloses a silicone-based fouling release coating system, wherein one or more layers of coatings include one or more poly(oxyalkylene) modified alcohols, and one or more layers of coatings The layer comprises one or more biocides, and wherein the coating system comprises 1-20 g /m of one or more poly(oxyalkylene)-modified alcohols and 2-35 g /m of one or more biocides. Corresponding marine structures and silicone-based foul release coating compositions are also disclosed. |
