abstract The invention discloses a preparation method of an acetal-polyhydric alcohol compound crude oil demulsification viscosity reducer. The preparation method comprises the steps of adding aldehyde and first polyhydric alcohol into a reaction kettle; adding a water-carrying agent; then, adding a catalyst into the reaction kettle; stirring the materials, and carrying out heating reflux on the reaction kettle for 4 to 10 hours at the temperature of 70 DEG C to 130 DEG C; cooling the reaction kettle to the room temperature, so as to obtain an acetal compound; stirring the materials, and adding second polyhydric alcohol into the reaction kettle; then, adding polyvinyl alcohol; uniformly stirring the mixture in the reaction kettle; and removing the catalyst through filtration, so as to obtain the acetal-polyhydric alcohol compound crude oil demulsification viscosity reducer. According to the compound crude oil demulsification viscosity reducer prepared through the preparation method, viscosity of crude oil can be reduced, small water drops can be adsorbed and collected through hydrogen bonding of oxygen atoms and emulsified water drops, large water drops are formed, and the functions of demulsification and dehydration are achieved.
