abstract The invention discloses a processing method of a radix salviae miltiorrhizae medicinal material. The method comprises the following steps: (1) washing radix salviae miltiorrhizae twigs with clean water at the room temperature and thoroughly moistening the radix salviae miltiorrhizae twigs with water, wherein the mass ratio of radix salviae miltiorrhizae twigs to water is 1:1.5-2, till the radix salviae miltiorrhizae twigs are thoroughly moistened with no water left and have no dried cores; (2) putting the radix salviae miltiorrhizae twigs in a clean container, raising the temperature to 45-65 DEG C, allowing the radix salviae miltiorrhizae twigs to stand for 8-15 min, and taking the radix salviae miltiorrhizae twigs out; (3) spraying Chinese liquor to the radix salviae miltiorrhizae twigs with the mass ratio of the radix salviae miltiorrhizae twigs to Chinese liquor being 4-8:1, quickly putting the obtained radix salviae miltiorrhizae twigs in a closed container for seal preservation, maintaining the temperature at 18-26 DEG C, and performing sweating for 2.5-4 days till the hardness of the radix salviae miltiorrhizae twigs is proper and the radix salviae miltiorrhizae twigs have no white cores; (4) taking the obtained radix salviae miltiorrhizae twigs out, washing the radix salviae miltiorrhizae twigs till the twigs are clean, and airing and drying the radix salviae miltiorrhizae twigs in the sun till the peels of the radix salviae miltiorrhizae twigs are slightly dried; and (5) slicing the salviae miltiorrhizae twigs dried in the step (4) through a slicer to slices with the thickness being 1.3-2.5 mm, and performing air blast drying for 2-5 h at 68-75 DEG C till the water content is no more than 8% to obtain the final radix salviae miltiorrhizae medicinal material. The radix salviae miltiorrhizae medicinal material is uniform in color and shape, gentle in medicinal property and stable in quality.
