Fatty acid synthase inhibitors for the treatment of drug-resistant cancers |
abstract |
The present invention provides a compound which is a regulator of fatty acid synthesis. The compounds are useful in pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of taxanes resistant cancers. Methods for treating taxane-resistant cancer in an individual are provided. Also provided are drugs for increasing the sensitivity of cancer cells to treatment with taxanes (i.e., paclitaxel, protein-bound paclitaxel docetaxel (Nab-paclitaxel docetaxel) and/or cabazitaxel (cabazitaxel) method. |
