abstract The invention discloses polyethylene coated calcium carbonate filler containing glass fibers and a preparation method of the polyethylene coated calcium carbonate filler. The polyethylene coated calcium carbonate filler is characterized by being prepared from, by weight, 2-4 parts of glass fibers, 40-50 parts of calcium oxide, 1-2 parts of carbon fibers, a proper amount of CO2, 6-11 parts of acetylacetone, 5-10 parts of sodium stearate, 1-2 parts of polyacrylamide, 15-25 parts of butyl titanate, 25-35 parts of polyethylene resin, 8-12 parts of dimethicone and 200-250 parts of deionized water. Titanium dioxide and the polyethylene resin are used for carrying out double coating on calcium carbonate powder, the acid resistance, whiteness and fire resistance of the calcium carbonate powder are enhanced, integration of the calcium carbonate powder and an organic substrate is improved, and the calcium carbonate powder meets wider application requirements; in cooperation with the added glass fibers and carbon fibers, the abrasion resistance of the filler is improved.
