abstract | The invention relates to a plant starch synthesis related protein OsFLO8, and a coding gene and application thereof. The protein provided by the invention is the protein of the following (a) or (b): (a) a protein consisting of an amino acid sequence shown by SEQ ID NO.1 in a sequence table; (b) a protein derived from SEQ ID NO.2, which is obtained by substituting and/or deleting and/or adding one or more amino acid residues to the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO.1 and is related to starch synthesis. The plant starch synthesis related protein influences the synthesis of starch in plant endosperm. The coding gene of the protein is introduced into a plant with abnormal starch synthesis, so that a transgenic plant with normal starch synthesis can be cultivated. The protein and the coding gene thereof can be applied to plant genetic improvement. |
