abstract The invention provides an ornamental tree and shrub protection and damage restoring method. Withered and dead branches are sawed flatly or cut off from the injured or broken positions, the slightly injured branches are cut off from the clear life-death boundary, cuts should be smooth, and a repairing additive is sprayed on the cuts after the cuts are sterilized and disinfected with sanitizer, and then the cuts are wrapped with preservative films for protective sealing. The repairing additive is prepared from, by weight, 2-10 parts of urea, 4-15 parts of polyacrylamide, 3-16 parts of a nucleotide solution, 0.15-0.45 part of bactericide, 0.3-5 parts of glucose and 1000-1500 parts of distilled water. Effective ingredients of the bactericide include mancozeb, pyrimidine nucleoside antibiotic, tebuconazole, azoxystrobin or diniconazole.
