A liquid crystal device which is used as an electro-optical device according to the present embodiment includes at least five capacitance electrodes (16d, 16f, 16h, 16k, 16m) that are stacked on a substrate (10s) in a state where dielectric films are interposed therebetween. Two capacitance electrodes (16h, 16m) which are stacked on odd-numbered layers among the at least five capacitance electrodes (16d, 16f, 16h, 16k, 16m) are electrically connected to a capacitance line (7) through a contact hole (62) that is a common contact hole.
