New fuels for diesel engines are formulated using a portion of standard diesel and two sets of components with different characteristic ratings. The first set consisted of reformulated chemicals, while the second set was made with a properly balanced blend of vegetable oils. The fuels obtained with this formulation have better thermodynamic properties and allow a significant reduction in the output of carbon dioxide (CO2) and particulate matter (PT), which are reduced by about 50% and 60%, respectively. |
