abstract The invention relates to a method for preparing a catalyst containing YO 2 And B 2 O 3 A boron containing zeolitic material of MWW framework structure, as well as a synthetic boron containing zeolite obtainable and/or obtained according to the process of the present invention and uses thereof, wherein Y represents a tetravalent element, wherein the process comprises (a) providing a mixture comprising: one or more YO 2 Source, one or more of B 2 O 3 A source, one or more organic templates, and a seed; (b) crystallizing the mixture obtained in (a) to obtain a layered precursor of a boron-containing MWW-type zeolite material; (c) calcining the layered precursor obtained in (b) to obtain a boron-containing zeolitic material having an MWW framework structure; wherein the one or more organic templates have formula (I): r 1 R 2 R 3 N, wherein R 1 Is (C) 5 ‑C 8 ) Cycloalkyl, and wherein R 2 And R 3 Independently of one another, H or alkyl.
