abstract |
In the separator (1) for a battery using a porous film formed of a polyolefin resin as a substrate, the substrate (10) has a melting point lower than 150°C. The separator includes a porous heat-resistant layer (11) arranged on the front and back surfaces of the substrate (10) and on opposite ends of the substrate (10) in the width direction and including inorganic filler particles and a binder. In addition, the thickness of each porous heat-resistant layer (11) disposed on the opposite ends of the substrate in the width direction is in the range of 5 to 5000 μm and equal to or greater than the thickness of the porous heat-resistant layers (11) disposed on the front and back surfaces of the substrate ) of the thicknesses. |
