abstract | The invention relates to a method for operating an internal combustion engine (2) in a motor system (1) having an exhaust gas recirculation, comprising the following steps: operating the internal combustion engine (2) by setting an amount of recirculated combustion exhaust gases; setting an amount of recirculated combustion exhaust gas depending on the pre-control portion and the regulation portion; and, when the load demand increases, modifying the pre-control such that, during the transition to the load indicated by the load demand, the amount of recirculated combustion exhaust gases is reduced to an amount of recirculated combustion exhaust gases which is smaller than the amount of recirculated combustion exhaust gases which would be obtained in the case of a load corresponding to the increased load demand in the case of a stable operating situation. |
