Anti-TNFa antibody with pH-dependent antigen binding |
abstract |
The present invention relates to anti-TNFa antibodies engineered to exhibit pH sensitive antigen binding. The present invention preferably relates to the anti-TNFα antibody adalimumab (Humira®) or biologically active variants and fragments thereof, wherein the original adalimumab antibody or variants thereof are engineered by modification of the amino acid sequence within the variable region or fragment. In particular, the present invention relates to adalimumab or a biologically active variant or fragment thereof, wherein the CDR domains are modified by substitution of one or more amino acid residues with histidine residues. |
