abstract The present application discloses a first rare earth-free Metal Organic Framework (MOF) yellow phosphor that can be efficiently excited by blue light and assembled in a White Light Emitting Device (WLED) with a blue chip. The compounds of the present invention show significantly enhanced emission intensity, high quantum yield, and high thermal and humidity stability and photoluminescence compared to the constituent ligands. The invention also includes light emitting devices comprising any of these MOF yellow phosphors and methods of making these compounds and devices.
