Inkjet printing method and apparatus, production line for printing fabrics and leather goods and production line for packaging food or pharmaceuticals |
abstract |
The present invention relates to an ink jet printing method and apparatus, a production line for printing fabrics and leather products, and a production line for packaging food or medicine. The inkjet printing method comprises a) spraying one or more aqueous UV-curable inkjet inks (1) on a substrate (10), the one or more aqueous UV-curable inkjet inks (1) comprising at least one photoinitiator (15) and a capsule (3) consisting of a cross-linked polymeric shell (4) surrounding a core (5) comprising a UV curable compound (16); and b) applying UV radiation to said one or more aqueous UV-curable inkjet inks (1) sprayed on a substrate (10); said one or more aqueous UV-curable inkjet inks (1) in steps a) and b) exposure to infrared radiation; infrared radiation is emitted by an infrared radiation source (8) with an emission maximum between 0.8-1.5 µm, and UV radiation is emitted by a UV LED (9). |
