abstract Provided herein is an occlusion device for intracapsular implantation and/or vascular occlusion comprising: (a) a substantially solid marker having a proximal end and a distal end; and (b) a low-profile elastic mesh body , which is attached to the end of the marker, the body has a delivery shape and a deployed shape that conforms to the wall of the aneurysm; wherein the diameter of the body is greater than the diameter of the aneurysm to be treated. Also provided herein is a kit comprising the occlusive device disclosed herein and components for delivering the occlusive device. Methods of making and using the occlusive devices disclosed herein are also disclosed.
