titleOfInvention Method for synthesis of long-polyether-chain anionic polybasic carboxylic acid modified epoxy resin
abstract The invention relates to a method for synthesis of long-polyether-chain anionic polybasic carboxylic acid modified epoxy resin; aiming at the characteristics of different bisphenol A type epoxy resin, polybasic carboxylic acid having different carbon numbers and polyethylene glycol with different molecular weights are adopted for step-by-step successive modification of epoxy resin. The method comprises the steps: firstly, carrying out a ring-opening reaction, removing a solvent, detecting an acid value to determine an end point, neutralizing to obtain an intermediate product carboxyl modified epoxy resin; and then carrying out secondary modification of the product, to obtain the long-polyether-chain anionic polybasic carboxylic acid modified epoxy resin. The method has the advantages of simple process and low cost, and can control the range of the epoxy value and the degree of water solubility by adjusting the ratio of raw materials and the amount of a neutralizer. Under the premise of ensuring the water solubility, the long-polyether-chain anionic polybasic carboxylic acid modified epoxy resin has good oleophylic ability, and has great significance for being used as a hydrophobic material sizing agent.
