abstract The invention relates to a traditional Chinese medicine for treating fibrosis in chronic hepatitis C. The traditional Chinese medicine is prepared by decocting the following drugs: 10-20g of baked carapax trionycis (firstly added), 5-15g of fried radix angelicae sinensis, 20-30g of radix paeoniae rubra, 10-20g of radix paeoniae alba, 10-20g of raw radix astragali, 5-15g of rhizoma atractylodis macrocephalae, 10-20g of rhizoma polygonati, 5-30g of radix salviae miltiorrhizae, 1-30g of curcuma zedoary, 10-20g of spica prunellae, 25-50g of calcined oyster and shrimp, 20-50g of herba sedi, 10-20g of herba hyperici japonici, 10-15g of herba abri, 10-20g of beautiful sweetgum fruit and 2-10g of stir-baked squama manitis with 500ml water to 200ml, taking juice, then decocting with 200ml water to 100ml, and uniformly mixing the two juice to 300ml. The mixed juice is taken twice every day at morning and evening. The traditional Chinese medicine combines approach of reinforcement and expulsion and has good curative effect as the symptoms and physical signs of a patient are all obviously improved after the patient is treated by taking the traditional Chinese medicine for a month.
