The invention discloses polyamide composition applicable to a high-power LED. The polyamide composition comprises the following components in parts by weight: 100 parts of semi-aromatic polyamide (A), 10-100 parts of white pigment (B) and 0-2 parts of a silane coupling agent (C), wherein the semi-aromatic polyamide (A) comprises diamine: 80-100 mol% of dodecane diamine unit, and dibasic acid: 80-100 mol% of terephthalic acid unit; the white pigment (B) is at least one of TiO2, ZnS, ZnO, CeO2 and BaSO4. Through effective reduction in the density of amide groups in a molecular chain of the semi-aromatic polyamide in the composition, the composition itself has good anti-aging performance, low water absorption and good size stability. Compared with the conventional preparation method, the preparation method of the semi-aromatic polyamide in the composition is simpler and more efficient and the semi-aromatic polyamide prepared with the preparation method can achieve very high viscosity without being tackified any longer. |
