titleOfInvention Method for breeding lotus roots
abstract The invention discloses a method for breeding lotus roots. The method specifically comprises the following steps of at the beginning of April, selecting healthy early-maturing lotus root without diseases and pests and with joints as a lotus root seed; selecting a fertile field with convenient drainage and irrigation effect as a culture field; obliquely inserting the cut lotus root seed into the prepared culture field, cultivating, and covering a thin film on a bamboo arch greenhouse; controlling the temperature in the greenhouse to be within 30 DEG C, and removing the film of the bamboo arch greenhouse after all top buds grow with leaves; selecting a paddy field with convenient drainage and irrigation effect and thick tillage layer as a transplanting field, applying 750kg of manure fertilizer per mou in winter, plowing once before planting, additionally applying 1500kg of manure fertilizer per mou, and simultaneously applying 150kg of quicklime; when each top bud grows with three or four leaves, transplanting into a planting pit of the transplanting field; in the planting period, preventing diseases and pests, so as to harvest commercial lotus root with higher quality in September. The method for breeding the lotus roots disclosed by the invention has the advantages that the breeding cost is greatly reduced, and the propagation possibility of diseases is reduced.
