abstract The invention provides an aquaculture method capable of improving saponin content of sea cucumbers. The method includes: adding glucose, xylose, galactose, rhamnose, arabinose, glucuronic acid, and galacturonic acid into cultivation sea water; and effectively controlling the cultivation temperature, the pH, the concentration of iron element, and the illumination so as to remarkably promote accumulation of saponin ingredients in the sea cucumbers. Compared with the prior art, the aquaculture method can improve the activity of non-specific immune factors in the obtained sea cucumbers, can enhance the disease resistance of the sea cucumbers, can facilitate healthy growth of the sea cucumbers, and then increases the yield of the sea cucumbers. The aquaculture method can remarkably improve the saponin content of the sea cucumbers through reasonable design of the process, the nutriment value of the obtained sea cucumbers is high than that of the common sea cucumbers, the cost is not increased, and the obtained sea cucumbers have high commercial value.
