abstract | Systems and devices for separating biological agents by injection into a solution that allows them to float. These systems and devices have many research, diagnostic, clinical, consumer, and other applications. One aspect of the present disclosure provides a device for separating or enriching a biological agent from a sample, the device comprising a sample container including an inner volume for containing a sample and a plurality of microbubbles, a tapered end and an opening an end, a plunger inserted into the open end, and a tip of the tapered end that forms an acute angle with respect to the horizontal axis of the sample container, wherein the plurality of microbubbles provide access to one or more biological agents of the sample floating, and wherein the plunger moves toward the tapered end to separate or enrich one or more biological agents from the sample. |
