The present invention relates to a method for diagnosing a disease comprising the step of detecting in a sample from a patient an autoantibody that binds to evoyarin 1 and/or evoyarin 2; comprising evoyarin 1 and/or evoyarin 2 or a polypeptide of a variant thereof, which is preferably immobilized; use of the polypeptide for disease diagnosis; autoantibodies combined with flotation protein 1 and/or flotation protein 2; used for isolating the autoantibodies methods; and pharmaceutical compositions, medical devices or test kits comprising said polypeptide. |
