abstract The invention provides a method for receiving and demodulating signals, a receiving device and a communication system. Upon receiving a frame, various filters adapted to different respective frequency bands may be applied according to a modulation scheme used to transmit the frame. The receiving device receives (301) a signal representing a preamble of a frame and determines (302), from the preamble, in which frequency band a signal useful for demodulating the frame is located; selecting a filter from a set of filters to apply when receiving the frame according to the determined frequency band.
