abstract | A polyol premix composition includes a blowing agent having a halogenated hydroolefin, a polyol, a surfactant, a catalyst composition, and a metal salt. For example, the metal salt may be a carboxylate, acetylacetonate, and alcoholate of a metal selected from the group consisting of Zn, Co, Ca, and Mg. For example, the metal salt may be a C1-C21 linear or branched chain aliphatic monobasic acid or carboxylate and/or alcoholate of a monohydric alcohol, such as magnesium formate, zinc octoate, calcium octoate, cobalt octoate, and octoic acid Magnesium, and their mixtures. For example, the metal acetylacetonate can be zinc acetylacetonate, cobalt acetylacetonate, magnesium acetylacetonate, or calcium acetylacetonate. A two-part system for producing a thermoset foam blend includes (a) a polyisocyanate and, optionally, one or more isocyanate-compatible raw materials; and (b) the polyol premix composition. A method for producing a thermoset foam blend includes combining: (a) a polyisocyanate; and (b) the polyol premix composition. |
