The invention further provides application of the water retaining agent in wheat planting in the saline-alkaline land. The water retaining agent has the advantages that the water retaining agent has high water absorbing capacity in tap water, rainwater and 0.9% NaCl solution, and the water absorbing capacity of the water retaining agent in the tap water, in the rainwater and in the 0.9% NaCl solution can reach 890-920 times, 670-780 times and 340-430 times of its own weight respectively. |
