abstract | The invention provides a high-voltage lithium ion battery and electrolyte thereof. The electrolyte of the high-voltage lithium ion battery comprises: a lithium salt; a non-aqueous organic solvent; and an additive. The additive contains tris (trimethylsilane) borate (TMSB) and a dicyan ether compound with a structure shown in a formula I besides a conventional cathode film forming additive, wherein n is an integer of 1-4; the conventional negative film forming additive includes fluoroethylene carbonate (FEC). The high-voltage lithium ion battery comprises the electrolyte of the high-voltage lithium ion battery. The high-voltage lithium ion battery has excellent normal-temperature cycle performance, high-temperature storage performance and low-temperature discharge performance. |
