abstract The present invention provides compounds of formula (II), such as compounds of formula (I), and pharmaceutical compositions thereof. Compounds of formula (II) are binders of bromodomain and/or bromodomain-containing proteins (eg, bromo and extra terminal (BET) proteins). The present invention also provides methods, uses and kits for inhibiting the activity (e.g., increased activity) of bromodomain and/or bromodomain-containing proteins using said compounds and pharmaceutical compositions, and for treating and/or Or preventing a bromodomain or bromodomain-containing protein-associated disease (eg, proliferative disease, cardiovascular disease, viral infection, fibrotic disease, metabolic disease, endocrine disease, and radiation poisoning) in a subject. The compounds, pharmaceutical compositions and kits can also be used for male contraception.
