abstract The invention provides an arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus induction type promoter and an application thereof, and concretely discloses a promoter element. The promoter element comprises: (a) polynucleotide with the nucleotide sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1; or (b) polynucleotide obtained by truncating 1-60 (preferably 1-30 and more preferably 1-6) nucleotides from the 5' end and/or 3' end of the polynucleotide with the nucleotide sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1 and having an arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus induction promoting function. The length of the promoter is only 550bp, and the promoter can drive target gene to response mycorrhiza symbiosis, and can effectively promote in various species.
