titleOfInvention Licking bricks reducing harm of gossypol on ruminants and preparation method thereof
abstract The present invention discloses licking bricks reducing harm of gossypol on ruminants and a preparation method thereof. The licking bricks consist of the following raw materials: salt, activated bentonite, calcium hydrogen phosphate, urea, magnesium oxide, magnesium chloride, ferrous sulfate, copper sulfate, zinc oxide, manganese oxide, sodium selenite, etc. The strong adsorption of the activated bentonite is utilized and after the activated bentonite is licked into rumens of cattle and sheep, free phenol is adsorbed and excreted outside of body. In addition, the ferrous sulfate is chelated with the free phenols in the rumens to reduce the harms of the free phenols.
