The present invention relates to the novel use of a pharmaceutical composition comprising at least one methylcyclodextrin having a molar substitution (MS) between 0.05 and 1.5, for the treatment and/or prevention of Diseases to treat and/or prevent. The invention also relates to its use for the treatment and/or prevention of atherosclerosis or complications associated with atherosclerosis, and/or diseases of the central nervous system. The pharmaceutical compositions of the present invention may also be used to stimulate a reduction in circulating fatty acid and triglyceride levels, and to reduce or prevent atherosclerotic plaque. |
