abstract | described is a production process for the preparation of organotitanium derivatives, which can be used for the preparation of yellow inks for digital printing on ceramics, comprising the following steps: (i) mixing an organic and/or inorganic compound of titanium (IV) with a1, 3-diol of formula: wherein R is 1 、R 2 、R 3 And R 4 Independently selected from H and linear or branched C1-C6 alkyl groups, and subsequent removal of reaction by-products; (ii) adding water with H 2 ti ≧ 2 molar ratio is added to the reaction mixture and then unreacted water and reaction by-products are removed; (iii) the reaction mixture is aged at a temperature of 180 ℃ to 200 ℃ for 16 to 50 hours. Also described are the titanium derivatives obtainable by means of the process reported above, inks comprising the derivatives and methods of digital printing on ceramics using said inks. |
