abstract | Provided is a method for producing a high-molecular-weight aromatic polycarbonate resin which involves: obtaining a catalyst composition by mixing a dialcohol compound represented by general formula (1) and a first catalyst with one another; obtaining a prepolymer mixture by mixing the catalyst composition and an aromatic polycarbonate prepolymer with one another; and a molecular-weight increase step for obtaining a high-molecular-weight aromatic polycarbonate by heat-treating the prepolymer mixture under vacuum conditions. In general formula (1), R1-R4 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or the like. Q represents a divalent group or a single bond. |
