The present invention relates to an apparatus comprising high speed rotating discs or bowls for nanofiber spinning from rotationally sheared film fibrillation with preferred stretching zones at closed serrations to produce defect-free nanofibers a web; and a nanofibrous film comprising a network of nanofibers having a number average nanofiber diameter of less than 500 nm, resulting in a higher degree of crystallinity than the polymeric resin used to make the web. |
